OUR MISSION

The New York Dominican Officers Organization (NYDO)

was established in August of 1993 with the intention of orienting its members, recruiting to the various law enforcement agencies, sponsoring youth athletic programs, and to assisting the community via workshops and the dissemination of vital information.

NYDO was formed because officers of Dominican descent felt a need for representation of their culture, values, and their community.

In addition, NYDO serves to enlighten our community and as a role model to our youth.

Workshops Facts

 Community Facts

NYDO serves to enlighten our community about Law Enforcement and to serve as role models to our youth, addressing our community needs both here - where we serve, and back in the Dominican Republic - where many of our families remain.

Dominican Republic Facts

NYDO serves as a network base, facilitating the dissemination of information between Law Enforcement agencies, while also helping and promoting positive interactions by members of the community
