The New York Dominican Officers Organization (NYDO) was established in August of 1993 with the intention of orienting its members, recruit to the various law enforcement agencies, create youth athletic programs, and to assist the community via workshops and the dissemination of vital information. |

|
NYDO was formed because officers of Dominican descent felt a need for representation of their culture, values, and their community. In addition, NYDO serves to enlighten our community and as a role model to our youth. |
